Web Kode’23 Guidelines
- Web Kode Round 2 is scheduled on 9-June-2023 at 8:30 am
- Web Kode Round 2 is organized as an open house event, where our panel of esteemed judges will visit each team to evaluate their websites.
- Each team will be an assigned a workstation where they have to present their websites.
- Students must bring their own laptops.
- Update your website with relevant data. Your website must not contain dummy text.
- Each team needs to prepare a standee highlighting the feature of their websites.
- Standee must contain:
- Both logos of NED University
- Team Name
- Website Track Name
- Students Name with Roll Numbers
- Department Name

Round 1 Schedule
Web Kode'23 Round 1 Evaluation of Batch 2020 is scheduled on Friday, 28 April 2023, in CSIT Department Room No 2 and Room No 3 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
- Students need to demonstrate the working of their Website in front of the jury panel.
- All students need to bring their laptops for the demonstration.
- Attendance is mandatory for all group members.
Participation Criteria
- At maximum 4 students in a group.
- Participation of all the third year students is mandatory. The sessional marks (Theory - 10 , Practical - 10) of web engineering course will be rewarded to the students based on their performance in this competition.
- First year, second year, and Final year students can also participate in this competition.
- Each group needs to register for one of the four themes listed below.
Available Tracks
- Conference website design - Ms. Samia will lead the groups registered under this theme.
- Student coding club website design - Ms. Saadia will lead the groups registered under this theme.
- Scholarship portal design for the students of NEDUET - Dr. Murk Marvi will lead the groups registered under this theme.
- Students-Industry Linkage - Dr. Muhammad Mubashir Khan will lead the groups registered under this theme.
Minimum requirements for Conference Website Design
Your task is to create an innovative and practical website for an IEEE research conference. You can draw inspiration from various international and national conference websites to develop your own unique and optimal design. The website must contain the following content:
- A dynamic Home Page
- About us page with host organization and conference introduction.
- Call for Papers page with (CFP Poster and Important Dates), Submission Process and guidelines for authors.
- Registration page for registration related information and forms. Conference Program (containing schedule)
- Conference Committees Page (Technical Committee, Organizing Committee etc)
- Gallery (for pictures of all previous events)
- Archives that will allow access to all previous conference webpages (all previous websites should have all these pages plus a new Proceedings page containing information of all published papers and conference proceedings book)
- Sponsors page
- Contact Us page
Minimum requirements for Coding Club Design
- A dynamic home page about the coding club (Aims, Objectives, Vision, Mission, etc.)
- Club activities (Website should cover previous, ongoing, or upcoming events of the club)
- Image or video gallery
- Events calendar containing all upcoming events
- Online registration form for upcoming events (students should be able to register as a sole participant or in teams)
- A registration confirmation message should be sent to students via their email.
- Club social media handles should be connected to the website
- Students can request to be a member or volunteer of the club
- Club member’s profiles
- Informative blog post section with coding tips
- Scoreboard or leaderboard with previous club competition winner details
- Sponsors page
- Club contact form
Minimum requirements for Scholarship Portal Design
- A dynamic home page
- Registration form for students (that includes all the basic personal and academic details)
- Merit based
- Need based
- Based on merit and need
- List and details of all the scholarships available for students in NED UET
- List of all currently active scholarships
- Students can apply for scholarship through portal and can upload the required documents
- The list of students who have availed the scholarship should not be able to apply for any other scholarships until the duration of current scholarship terminates.
- Registration form for alumni or faculty members or any other authenticated person willing to support student(s) during a semester/ for a course anonymously
- Only authenticated forms should be accepted
- The person who wants to fund should be able to view the list of students who have not availed any scholarship yet.
Minimum requirements for Students-Industry Linkage Portal
This portal will have the following features that will help the department admin to connect students with the industry and vice-versa. This portal will provide
- A dashboard to the Chairman and Office Staff to view the current students' details and their related information.
- An interface for gathering/collecting CVs/Resumes, LinkedIn profile URL, WhatsApp numbers, and email addresses of students.
- A facility to instantly call on the WhatsApp number of any student.
- A facility to share any job-related document with students on multiple channels (emails, WhatsApp, LinkedIn etc ... )
- A facility to send selected details if students with the relevant industry
- An Interface where students can write about their skillset and the nature of their job of interest.
- New job advertisements from the industry.
- and more interesting features as it will evolve.
