Second Position in INDUS AI Week by Sindh IT Company.

Muskan Haider, Hunaiza Khan, Wania Manzoor, and Faisal Shahid secured Second Position in the Student AI Innovation Challenge, organized as part of INDUS AI Week by Sindh IT Company, held from 9–15 February 2026. Their project, FLARE – An Intelligent System for Flood Prediction and Early Warning in Pakistan, introduced an AI-driven approach to disaster prediction and risk mitigation. By leveraging advanced data analytics and intelligent modeling techniques, the team developed a system aimed at enabling timely alerts and informed decision-making. This achievement highlights their technical expertise, innovative thinking, and commitment to applying artificial intelligence to address real-world societal challenges.

Second Position in Incognito Investigation at PROCOM

Team SHA-256, comprising Syeda Aliza Ayaz, Syed Muhammad Zain Raza, and Shahzad Ali Solangi, secured the Runner-Up position in Incognito Investigation at PROCOM, FAST-NUCES Karachi Campus, held on 11 February 2026. Competing against strong teams, they demonstrated exceptional analytical reasoning, investigative skills, and strategic problem-solving abilities. Their performance reflected technical competence, teamwork, and the ability to navigate complex investigative scenarios under competitive conditions, earning them a well-deserved second place in the event.

First Position in DataVerse at Procom'26

We are proud to share that Syed Muhammed Ahmed and Muhammed Rehan, Third Year students, secured First Position in DataVerse at PROCOM’26. The competition challenged participants to transform raw, unstructured datasets into meaningful insights and strategic dashboards designed for leadership decision-making. Competing against talented teams, they demonstrated exceptional proficiency in data cleaning, analytical modeling, visualization, and data storytelling. Their ability to extract actionable insights and present them through professional, executive-ready dashboards distinguished them from the competition. First Position in FYP Extreme at Procom'26

Third Position in Code Sprint,

We are proud to announce that Team Code Warriors, comprising Akhyar Ahmed Turk, Obaid Majeed, and Muhammad Uzzam, delivered an outstanding performance at PROCOM’26. The team secured First Position (🥇) in Query Quest and achieved Third Position (🥉) in Code Sprint, demonstrating exceptional problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and competitive spirit. 2nd Position in Cyber Warfare at IBA Probattle

Exceptional performance in ICPC Regional Competition 2025–26

NED University of Engineering & Technology has reached a new high on the competitive programming stage with an exceptional showing at the ICPC Regional Competition 2025–26. Teams from the Department of Computer Science & IT delivered standout performances, earning top positions in one of the most challenging and globally recognized programming contests.
Team CodeWarriors secured the Gold Medal, earning a spot at the Asia West Continentals.

The department of Computer Science & IT is proud to announce that Akhyar Ahmed Turk secured First Place in Speed Programming at AI Fest 5.0, organized by the Artificial Intelligence Club, showcasing exceptional problem-solving skills, speed, and teamwork in a highly competitive environment.

Runner-Up in the Web Development Competition at AI Fest 5.0

We are proud to highlight the achievement of Team Khubsoorat Shaklen, who secured the Runner-Up position in the Web Development Competition at AI Fest 5.0, held at NED University of Engineering and Technology and organized by the Artificial Intelligence Club. The team was recognized for their project AllOSINT, a Unified Passive Reconnaissance and Threat Intelligence Platform developed to address challenges posed by fragmented data and evolving digital threats. Featuring a cyber-noir inspired interface and a modular API-based architecture, AllOSINT brings multiple OSINT capabilities into a single, cohesive platform. From IP geolocation analysis to hidden subdomain discovery, the project delivers an intuitive and powerful tool designed for modern cybersecurity researchers and analysts.
This accomplishment reflects the team’s strong technical skills, innovative thinking, and collaborative effort. The project was developed by Muhammad Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Sarim Umer, and Muhammad Feras Malik, whose dedication and teamwork played a key role in this success.

Second Runner Up in Data Wrangling Competition organized by Teknofest Pakistan

We are pleased to share that Asim Kamal, Syed Muhammed Ahmed, and Obaid Majeed secured 3rd place in the Data Wrangling Competition organized by Teknofest Pakistan.
Despite facing unexpected technical challenges during the competition, the team demonstrated adaptability and problem-solving under pressure. With limited time remaining, they successfully pivoted their approach and delivered key insights through a Power BI dashboard, effectively communicating their analysis and findings.
This achievement reflects the team’s resilience, analytical thinking, and ability to make swift, strategic decisions in real-world data scenarios.

CSIT students won Essay Writing Competition

NED University held an Essay Writing Competition on “From Crisis to Confidence: What Pakistan Proved to the World” in honor of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. The MS Admission Test 2025 at CSIT Department was conducted entirely through CheatProof.online, a first-of-its-kind intelligent testing platform at NED, developed by our brilliant students Muhammad Jawwad, Syed Muhammad Zaryab, Abdul Rafay, and Muhammad Rohan Ahmed, under Dr. Abdul Karim Kazi's expert supervision. The CS&IT Department, NED University, proudly celebrates the phenomenal success of Team Girl_Code (Eeshah Rashid, Arsala Khan, and Syeda Aliza Ayaz) at PROCOM 2025, where they demonstrated outstanding skill, determination, and innovation!

🔹 Winners of the Incognito Investigation Module – The team secured 1st place, earning a prestigious shield and a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 for their exceptional analytical and investigative abilities.
🔹 Top All-Female Team in the Code Sprint Module – Their remarkable problem-solving skills earned them another shield, recognizing them as the best-performing all-female team in the competition.

Congratulations to Mesum Raza, a dedicated student of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology, specializing in Cybersecurity, on achieving his first Hall of Fame. Mesum discovered Open Redirect & Rate Limit Bypass bugs within the Authentik platform.


Our final year students Hamza Bin Rashid and Abdur Rehman have successfully cleared the valuable (ISC)² professional certification of cybersecurity. (ISC)² Certified in cybersecurity is an entry-level certification for cybersecurity enthusiasts who want to kick-start their careers in this field.

08 brilliant students from batches 2021-22 and 2022-23 have been appointed by OctDaily to work at the CollabSpace at CS&IT department, NED University.

Our student Muhammad Owais Ansari (Batch 2021) was invited by Ilma University on 4th December, 2023 to conduct a session aimed at "Bridging the gap between Industry and Academia."

Congratulations to our Final Year Student "Haris Ahmed" on achieving eCPPTv2 (Certified Professional Penetration Tester) certification eCPPT is a practical and highly respected Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing Professional certification.

Students of CS&IT department Muhammad Uzair Khan, Faseeh-ur-Rehman, Muhammad Azlan, and Syed Muhammad Mustafa Kazim were awarded certificates for their contribution to the project of integrating the NED Library Management System "Koha" with the indigenous NED University Information Systems.

Nadir Hussain (Batch 2020), a brilliant and ambitious Computer Science student at NED University of Engineering and Technology has made an outstanding achievement by passing the DP-203 exam and earning the prestigious Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.

We are proud to announce that Atiya Sarwar and Sher Khan bright and talented students have been selected for the prestigious Huawei Seeds For The Future (SFTF) Program 2023 being held in Doha, Qatar.

Our talented third year students Arqam Khursheed, Saim Ahmed and Muhammad Abdul Rafay came out victorious in the Flutter app development competition at Specturm'23, hosted by DHA Suffah University on June 25th 2023.

Team OceanDev, including 3rd year students, Muhammad Daniyal Saleem (CT-063), Muhammad Hamza Aslam (CT-061), and Muhammad Abdul Rafay (CT-20050) secured 1st position and were declared winners in the web development competition held at Aifest 4.0.
